1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to StoryVerse! By accessing or using the StoryVerse mobile application ("App") and services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

For Users Under 18: If you are under 18 years old, you must have your parent or legal guardian review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• Users under 13 may only access the Service through a parent-managed Family Account
• Users 13-17 years old must have parental consent to create an account
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

3. Content and Licensing

3.1 AI-Generated Content

All stories on StoryVerse are generated using artificial intelligence (AI) and are original works created specifically for our platform. By using our Service, you acknowledge that:

• Stories are AI-generated and may contain imperfections
• We perform quality control but cannot guarantee 100% accuracy
• Content is for personal entertainment purposes only
• Stories are not intended as educational or factual material

3.2 License Grant

When you purchase a story, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Stream and download the story for personal use
• Listen to the story on up to 5 devices associated with your account
• Share access with immediate family members through Family Sharing

3.3 Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Redistribute, sell, or publicly share purchased stories
• Remove digital rights management (DRM) or watermarks
• Use stories for commercial purposes
• Create derivative works or adaptations
• Upload stories to sharing platforms or social media
• Share your account credentials with non-family members

4. Pricing and Payments

4.1 Pricing

Current pricing:

• Children's Stories (Ages 5-12): $3.99 per story
• Teen Stories (Ages 13-17): $5.99 per story
• Adult Stories (Ages 18+): $7.99 per story
• Free Preview: First 3 chapters of every story are free

Prices are in USD and may vary by region. We reserve the right to change prices with 30 days notice.

4.2 Payment Processing

• Payments are processed securely through Apple App Store or Google Play
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for all purchases
• All purchases are final and non-transferable
• Payment information is not stored by StoryVerse

4.3 Refund Policy

Try Before You Buy: We offer 3 free chapters of every story to help you decide before purchasing.

Refunds: Refunds are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play according to their respective policies:

• Accidental purchases may be refunded within 48 hours if less than 20% of content accessed
• Technical issues preventing access will receive a full refund
• Quality concerns will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
• Refund requests must be made within 14 days of purchase

5. Family Sharing

Family Sharing allows you to share purchased stories with up to 5 family members:

• Family members must be part of the same household
• Parents are responsible for child accounts and their activity
• Parents can set age restrictions for child profiles
• Shared purchases remain tied to the original purchaser's account
• Abuse of Family Sharing may result in account suspension

6. User Conduct

You agree to use StoryVerse responsibly and NOT to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the App
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free trials
• Use automated tools to access or scrape content
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Share account access with non-authorized users
• Engage in fraud or unauthorized purchases

7. Content Standards

StoryVerse maintains age-appropriate content standards:

• Children (5-12): Educational, wholesome content with no mature themes
• Teen (13-17): Age-appropriate drama, mild romance, adventure
• Adult (18+): Mature themes including violence, romance, horror

While we strive to maintain these standards, AI-generated content may occasionally contain unexpected elements. Please report inappropriate content to: report@storyverse.app

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of StoryVerse are owned by StoryVerse and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

AI-Generated Content: While stories are AI-generated, StoryVerse retains all rights to the content, platform, and branding.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 Service Provided "AS IS"

StoryVerse is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9.2 No Guarantee of Content Quality

We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be error-free, accurate, or suitable for all audiences despite our quality control efforts.

9.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryVerse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• You engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• You abuse Family Sharing or free trials
• Your account has been inactive for 2+ years

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion, you will lose access to all purchased content.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
