2. Age-Appropriate Content Standards

🌈 Children (Ages 5-12)

Allowed Content:

  • Educational and entertaining stories
  • Positive moral lessons
  • Mild fantasy adventure
  • Friendship and family themes
  • Age-appropriate humor

Prohibited Content:

  • Violence or scary content
  • Romantic or mature themes
  • Inappropriate language
  • Frightening imagery

⚡ Teen (Ages 13-17)

Allowed Content:

  • Coming-of-age stories
  • Age-appropriate romance
  • Drama and comedy
  • Mild action and suspense
  • Anime-style narratives

Prohibited Content:

  • Explicit sexual content
  • Graphic violence
  • Drug or alcohol glorification
  • Excessive profanity

🔥 Adult (Ages 18+)

Allowed Content:

  • Mature themes and complex narratives
  • Romance and thriller genres
  • Horror and suspense
  • Realistic adult situations
  • Sophisticated storytelling

Prohibited Content:

  • Explicit sexual content or pornography
  • Extreme graphic violence or gore
  • Hate speech or discrimination
  • Illegal activities or instruction

3. Prohibited Content & Behavior

The following is strictly prohibited on StoryVerse, regardless of age rating:

🚫 Illegal Content

Content promoting or depicting illegal activities, including drugs, weapons, terrorism, or human trafficking.

🚫 Hate Speech & Discrimination

Content or behavior targeting individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.

🚫 Harassment & Bullying

Threats, intimidation, or targeted harassment of any user.

🚫 Child Exploitation

Any content sexualizing, endangering, or exploiting minors. Immediately reported to authorities.

🚫 Self-Harm & Suicide

Content promoting or glorifying self-harm, eating disorders, or suicide.

🚫 Spam & Fraud

Scams, phishing, account sharing schemes, or attempts to manipulate the system.

🚫 Impersonation

Pretending to be another person, organization, or StoryVerse employee.

🚫 Misinformation

Deliberately spreading false health, safety, or emergency information.

4. AI Content Quality Standards

While our stories are AI-generated, we maintain quality standards:

  • Quality Control: All stories undergo automated and manual review before publication
  • User Feedback: We actively monitor user reports and feedback to improve content
  • Continuous Improvement: AI models are regularly updated to enhance story quality
  • Human Oversight: A dedicated team reviews flagged content within 24 hours

5. Reporting Inappropriate Content

Your safety is our priority. If you encounter content that violates these guidelines:

What to Include:

  • Story title and ID
  • Chapter number (if applicable)
  • Specific content concern

6. Enforcement & Consequences

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

  • First Offense: Warning and content removal
  • Repeated Violations: Temporary account suspension (7-30 days)
  • Serious Violations: Permanent account termination
  • Illegal Activity: Report to law enforcement authorities

We review each case individually and consider context, severity, and user history.

7. Appeals Process

If you believe your content or account was unfairly restricted, you may appeal within 30 days by emailing appeals@storyverse.app with:

  • Your account email
  • Date of action
  • Reason for appeal
  • Any relevant context

Appeals are reviewed within 5-7 business days by a different team member than the original reviewer.

8. Parental Responsibilities

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

  • Monitoring child account activity and content access
  • Setting appropriate age restrictions on Family Accounts
  • Teaching children safe and responsible app usage
  • Reporting concerns about content or user behavior
  • Regularly reviewing purchased stories for appropriateness

9. Updates to Guidelines

These Community Guidelines may be updated periodically to reflect evolving standards, user feedback, and legal requirements. Significant changes will be announced via email and in-app notification.

Continued use of StoryVerse after updates constitutes acceptance of revised guidelines.
